Kitchen Backsplash Tiles

For a private residence, a handcrafted ceramic backsplash was created to define the atmosphere of the kitchen through geometry and rhythm. Covering an area of one by three meters, the installation consists of approximately 1,200 tiles, each measuring 5 × 5 cm.

The design explores a balance between order and play — a precise grid softened by subtle variations in tone and surface. The repetition of small-scale modules creates a tactile composition that interacts with light throughout the day, transforming a functional surface into an architectural feature that anchors the space.
