Project descriptions

Created for Vynvytis Studio in Kaunas, these two ceramic tile artworks explore the relationship between botanical forms, graphic motifs, and architectural space.
Taking inspiration from the Virginia creeper plant, reflected in the studio’s name, the works translate its organic character into a simplified arrangement of circular forms. The composition translates the growth of the Virginia creeper into a stylised botanical pattern, combining a structured grid with a more fluid arrangement of circular forms. A recurring four-dot motif, drawn from the studio’s visual identity, connects the artworks to the space they were designed for.
Made by hand, the tiles bring variation in surface, colour, and texture to the compositions. Positioned within the architecture, they function as both artworks and architectural details, introducing a botanical reference through a restrained, geometric language. The project reflects an interest in how ceramics, while created on a small scale, can contribute to the character of an interior and become a lasting part of its identity.
